Scared at first I didn't know where to start, but every time I get to see the sky and argentinian nature, parks and plazas I am in love all over again.
How I've missed this country! I realize it now.
The first days where a little bit cold, wind blowing my hair ...but the next days the sun started to smile at my skin.
I visited the Zoo! I am amazed how there are lots of animals running around! I got to see some Lamas and Vicuñas, these are typical animals we have back at home, Peru.
It's funny to walk around and find a kind of familiar accent on the streets, my dear peruvians, some times miss understood, and judged, but there are good workers trying to provide for their families here and sometimes back at home. I had the chance to talk to some on these passed days, they always have a smile on their face and are eager to listed what brings me here...."music", I say.
My dear cousin has been helping me with directions, other wise I wouldn't be able to move around the streets.
Today I wanted to visit San Telmos's Market. So I grabbed my guitar and my boots and got on the "subte" or subway and went directly to the plaza de Mayo. This plaza is the main plaza, where the president's house is, "La casa rosa", beautiful color!!
Took some pictures, played my guitar...the song number 10 on my cd. And started to walk on the street Defensa, San Telmo's Market....uuuuuuu...amazed by the different cultures, by the art of the people. I recently read...something like..."art is the only way to travel without leaving home", but what better way to enjoy art, and be art while you are traveling! What filled my heart and mind in this past month is that no matter where I am, when Music is in me, with me and around me I feel like home, I am found, even when I'm feeling lonely.
So although carrying my guitar around is tough, it's all worthwhile.
These are some things I liked on the market, lots of people and pink dolls! hahaha...one of them dressed as a typical peruvian girl from the Sierra!
I had the chance to listen to an incredible Jazz band... all argentinians!
And finally! the best of the evening...I been dreaming about this ice-cream since I left Argentina 3 years ago! Freddo! Chocolate and hazelnut...yyuuuum.
